Situated right on the promenade at Greenhill, Weymouth Bay Holiday Apartments are very spacious, purpose-built marine apartments commanding magnificent and uninterrupted sea views across Weymouth Bay. The self catering apartments are fully equipped and offer 2/3 large double bedrooms, lounge, kitchen, dining room, bathroom, wi-fi and own separate access at all times. The apartments are available to let all year round on a weekly / fortnightly basis and are ideally suited for family holidays. Each apartment has garaging for one car. If additional parking is required there is a large pay & display car park opposite, and also free on-road parking 150 yards away.
The building comprises 3 apartments - Apartment A is on the Ground Floor, Apartment B is on the First Floor and Apartment C is on the Second Floor.
The apartments are within easy reach of Weymouth town centre and historic harbour. Adjacent is the Lodmoor Country Park with a host of indoor & outdoor attractions including a Sea Life Centre, Go-Cart Circuit, miniature railway, pitch and putt golf course and a themed crazy golf venue. There is a paddling pool and sand-pit for youngsters just yards away, and Greenhill Gardens with tennis courts, putting green & bowling green are very close by. A Land Train runs along the Eslpanade, just outside the apartments, during the summer season. Weymouth rail and coach stations are both just a short distance away. Competitors in the annual Weymouth ironman triathlon start their early morning swim just meters away on the beach right in front of the apartments.
History
Weymouth Bay Holiday Apartments are the original and longest running holiday apartments in Weymouth. The building was purchased by Mr & Mrs Blake in 1981. Between 1966 and 1981, Mr & Mrs Blake had previously owned and managed a guest house in Weymouth, and there were no self-catering apartments in Weymouth at all at that time. Like many seaside resorts, Weymouth's traditional holiday accommodation consisted solely of hotels and guest houses. In 1981, Mr & Mrs Blake noticed that a new demand for self catering holiday accommodation was beginning to emerge, and so they sold the guest house and purchased 56 Greenhill, which was already purpose-built as three separate residential apartments, and so needed only moderate alterations to turn them in to suitable holiday lets. Today, our small family business has been providing holiday accommodation in Apartments B and C for over 40 continuous years now. Many of our guests return year after year, and several guests have been coming for many decades. We have recently refurbished and renovated Apartment A on the ground floor, and this apartment is available to let from 1st April 2022.
